Spread cheer. Volunteer.
     Last week was National Volunteer Week, an important campaign since a lot of things simply wouldn't happen without the generosity and enthusiasm of volunteers.  If you haven't had a chance to volunteer recently, I strongly encourage you to find a cause that you care about and get involved - not only will you be helping others in immeasurable ways; you will boost your self-worth by realizing how much of a positive impact YOU alone can have on others.  It is also a great way to sharpen talents and skills that you may not get to use in your workplace.  For instance, as a financial analyst, I rarely have the opportunity to write and communicate messages for large external audiences but I get to do that through my social media work with NEDIC.
